Cupping used on Olympic athletes

BBC Coventry and Warwickshire noted that Olympic swimmers were bearing the marks of cupping therapy on their backs and I got to do an interview about it.  This ancient therapy is making a bit of a come-back.  Many countries have never stopped using it though. The vacuum produced within the cups improves the blood circulation in the area of sore inflamed muscle and has an anti-inflammatory effect.  The treatment is slightly uncomfortable, and results are usually quick and without the need for drugs.  Cupping is often used alongside acupuncture and sometimes on its own.
